Kenneth Biesinger, CPA, MAcc
Partner and Co-Founder

Ken has been a certified public accountant since the summer of 1998, just a year after he graduated from Brigham Young University with his Master of Accountancy degree. Ken started his own accounting firm, Kenneth W. Biesinger, CPA, PC in 2000, but then merged with Kofford & Associates in 2006 to form Biesinger & Kofford, CPAs. Ken specializes in tax and accounting for small to medium sized businesses as well as governmental audits, financial consulting, and fraud examination. Ken’s favorite hobbies are camping, boating, and spending time with his wife and four beautiful children.

Brian Kofford, CPA, MAcc
Partner and Co-Founder

Brian completed his Masters Degree at Brigham Young University in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation in 1992. A year later he received his CPA licence and has been working in the public accounting sector in Utah since then. Brian began his own firm, Kofford & Associates, in 2001. Then in 2006, he merged his business with Kenneth W. Biesinger, CPA, PC to form Biesinger & Kofford CPAs, PLLC. Brian specializes in business consulting, tax work for high net worth individuals and networking his clients to other clients. An entrepreneur at heart, Brian enjoys working with small business owners to help them to better understand their business, operate more efficiently and minimize their tax burden.



Warren Herrick, CPA
Audit Manager

Warren is a CPA and graduate of San Diego State University since 1988. His extensive audit experience includes private companies, non-profit, and governmental entities. He has performed duties such as monitoring of engagement processes to ensure adherence to firm policies and practices, and compliance with Peer Review requirements. His accounting experience began with data entry and progressed to payroll preparation and reporting, sales tax, income tax, preparation of financial statements and footnotes and of course auditing. His broad background gives him unique insights to clients’ accounting systems and needs and enables him to provide value added services to our clients. He grew up in Southern California and moved to Utah with his wife and two stepchildren at the end of 2013. He enjoys singing, tinkering with and riding his vintage motorcycles, and family time

Carol Collett, CPA
Office Manager

Carol Collett graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science’s in accounting in 1975. She began working for Ken Biesinger in 2004, and stayed with the firm when Kenneth W. Biesinger, CPA, PC merged with Kofford & Associates in 2006. She simultaneously earned her Master of Accounting from Weber State University, which she received in 2007. The following year she received her CPA licence.. Prior to becoming a CPA, she spent several years performing payroll and accounting functions and participating in management decisions for a medium sized retail store, so she is very familiar with running a business. She and her husband Jim have six children and an ever increasing number of grandchildren. She enjoys reading, sewing, gardening, shopping, and planning home improvement projects.

Mike Collett, CPA, MAcc
Tax Manager

Mike has been with Biesinger & Kofford since the beginning of 2008. He received a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University with a minor in information systems. He works mainly with small businesses and individuals with tax preparation and financial statements. He enjoys the outdoors, rec-league softball, and spending time with his wife and three children.

Kaye Palmer, CPA
Tax Accountant

Kaye Palmer received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University in 1978. She became a licensed CPA in 1998. Focusing on her family–husband Bruce Palmer and four children–Kaye still gained over 20 years of tax season experience before returning to the workforce full-time in 2007, when she joined Biesinger & Kofford CPA’s. She is experienced in all types of income tax return preparation, as well as other accounting work. She loves and enjoys helping people. In addition to family time, Kaye also enjoys gardening, hiking, and playing piano and guitar.

Denise Nielson
Accounting Manager

Denise received her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in General Psychology with a Business Management Minor in 2015. However, she has gained valuable experience and skills working in the accounting field for over 20 years. Her experience includes Financial Statement preparation and reviews, working in Quickbooks, and managing the payroll department where she oversees multi-state payrolls. She is currently pursuing her MBA while working full-time. She She enjoys activities with her family, working around the house and yard, and boating.

Debbie Blumel
Staff Accountant

Debbie has been with Biesinger & Kofford since October 2007. She’s a native of Southern California, where she and husband Jim, an architectural illustrator, raised six children before moving to beautiful Lehi, Utah in 2005. She attended Fullerton College majoring in Business Administration and Accounting. She has worked as a staff accountant (full-charge bookkeeper) for various CPA firms for over 25 years. Her diverse clients have included the smallest to the largest of companies, including working for over 5 years in the horse industry with thoroughbred owners, trainers and farriers. Debbie enjoys working with her clients and making sure all of their accounting needs are met, from payroll to financial statements, and everything in between. She is also a Notary Public. When she has free time she likes gardening, cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Brett Smith
Accounting Manager

Brett earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Utah Valley University in 2009 and a Master of Accounting degree from Weber State University in 2011. He is a licensed CPA with experience in the financial services industry, as well as corporate accounting and small business consulting.. He joined Biesinger & Kofford in October 2015. Outside the office Brett is an avid sports fan, likes golfing, and enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children.

Andrea Brooks
Payroll Specialist

Andrea has worked as a bookkeeper for the past twenty years. She began working for Biesinger & Kofford in 2013. She has experience working in QuickBooks, payroll, and tax returns. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, and spending time with her husband and four children.

David Timpson

David has worked as a full-time bookkeeper since 2002 and a loan processor since 2008 working for companies such as Full Moon, Inc., Megastar Financial, and Primary Residential Mortgage. He joined the team at Biesinger & Kofford CPAs, PLLC in 2013. His hobbies include singing, acting, and dancing on stage. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids

Accounts Receivable/
Admin Assistant

Nancy has over twenty years of office experience. She worked as a junior accountant in a CPA firm for ten years and has worked in coding and billing for the past several years. She joined the office staff at Biesinger & Kofford CPAs, PLLC in 2013 working as the firm’s Billing Manager. She has two kids and enjoys camping and gardening.

Shirlene Reynolds
Exe. Administrative Assistant

Shirlene began working for Biesinger & Kofford CPAs in 2012. She has worked her way around the office, gaining experience, knowledge, and skills, and now she is the friendly face at the front desk. She works directly with the partners and CPAs, assisting with projects and assignments, managing the office, and more. She works with clients and facilitates communication with the partners and CPAs. Shirlene answers questions and works to resolve any issues that may arise. She sets in motion the tax filing process and sees it through to completion. She enjoys her position which allows her to interact with clients and staff. She is dedicated, thorough, dependable, detail oriented, organized, and respectful. She is married to Bill Reynolds and they have five wonderful children. Shirlene’s favorite pastime is spending time with her family.

Reed Wall
Administrative Assistant

Reed works as the administrative assistant for Biesinger & Kofford, CPAs. She began working for the firm in 2014. Before working for Biesinger & Kofford she helped train police horses with the WNY-WC deviation in her hometown and was employed by Zions Bank in Salt Lake City. While working for Zions she had the opportunity to visit various parts of northern Utah and spent a great deal of time working at the head office in downtown Salt Lake. Reed moved to Utah county in 2014 and married her husband later that year. Together they have 2 dogs and share in this adventure called life. She enjoys walking through open houses, interior remodeling, animals and country living.
